Professional Year in IT

The ACS (IT) Professional Year is a Department of Home Affairs initiative which is designed for international graduates with an Australian IT degree just like you. Developed by the Australian Computer Society, the ACS Professional Year program provides IT graduates with a guided pathway from university to employment in Australia.

The ACS (IT) Professional Year course is a 44 week program with two stages:

  1. Face-to-Face Classes
  2. IT Professional Work Integrated Learning Placement (Internship)

Professional Year in Accounting

Developed by CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and the Institute of Public Accountants, the Accounting Professional Year Program provides accounting graduates with a guided pathway from university to employment in Australia.

The Accounting Professional Year Program is approved by the Department of Home Affairs (formerly the Department of Immigration and Border Protection). It is available to overseas students who have an Australian accounting degree qualification as a result of at least two years’ study in Australia.

Accounting PYP consists of a minimum of 44 weeks’ training, including 32 weeks classroom study and 12-weeks internship placement providing valuable work experience in an approved Australian workplace completing relevant accounting tasks.

Professional Year in Engineering

The Professional Year in Engineering course is a comprehensive program that will prepare you to work as an engineer in Australia. It lasts for 44 weeks, giving you time to learn about the expectations of employers, begin building your network, and create a plan for career success.
